Creative Web and Visual Designer

This collaboration is perfect for a creative minded and talented web designer with experience in crafting unique and compelling website designs that tell the client’s story. We’re looking for someone who has a strong visual eye that can put together clean, modern business designs with excellent typography and graphical elements. Working with our team, this role would guarantee the quality of the visual assets developed meet standards. Please provide a portfolio of original digital designs for review.

Qualifications & Responsibilities

Should have a strong visual eye with a original and clean design style
Should have a basic understanding of business marketing and can create designs that convert
Should have an understanding of the web as a creative medium and possess basic UX capabilities
Should be experienced in HTML5, CSS, web typography, responsive design and multi device constraints
Should possess strong skills with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, etc.
Should have expert experience designing for platforms such as WordPress and Shopify and using page builders such as Beaver Builder
Ideally, would have experience with Javascript and Jquery for light frontend development

The following is an example of tasks required.

Create original frontend website designs
Create digital assets for social media, print, advertising, logos, etc.
Create brand Style Guides to set standards for all design assets
Collaborate with the team in brand messaging and wireframing
Guarantee high quality of visual assets produced and provide quality assurance for all visual deliverables
Ideally, build out completed websites, including any Javascript and frontend development features needed.

WordPress Support

We’re seeking a Junior Web Designer or a WordPress Support person for this role. We’re looking for someone who moves comfortably in the world of WordPress (extra points for knowing HTML/CSS, Beaver Builder and other basic tools - or is fast to learn them), has a great eye for clean and effective work and is an all around fantastic person to have on the team.

Qualifications & Responsibilities

Experience in using and developing on the WordPress platform
Skilled in HTML5 and CSS
A basic understanding of PHP and server side files
Proficient in configuring plugins and integrations
Possess a good visual eye with a clean, modern style
Demonstrate a basic understanding of online business marketing
Ideally, experienced in using page builders such as Beaver Builder
Ideally, familiar with basic UX layout and conversion
Ideally, familiar with basic Javascript

The following is an example of tasks required.

Perform content and support updates on client WordPress websites
Complete supporting tasks for website backups and updates
Provide QA for all updates and timely customer service

Virtual Assistant

We are looking for an amazingly organized, detailed and motivated team member here at Open Sky Web Studio. This position is for someone who loves to communicate and knows their way around the computer. The ideal candidate will be reliable, professional, personable and work well in a team environment while being personally disciplined for remote work as well.

Qualifications & Responsibilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Warm and accessible tone for client communications
Strong administrative skills
Consistent attention to detail
Exceptional organizational skills
Willingness to learn and confidence with technology
Great multi-tasking and time-management skills
Proficient in cloud tools such as Google Drive, Google Workspace, Dropbox, Asana, etc.
Skilled in internet research and evaluation
Must own a laptop - you will not be provided with one
Experience in administrative support preferred

The following is an example of tasks required.

Organize and maintain files both digital
Draft new proposals, contracts, etc.
Support client accounts and communications
Process new client enrollments
Perform research on tools, processes and services as needed
Match receipts, reconcile accounts and prepare invoices
Maintain mileage log
Manage backups for key data
Basic event management
Maintain calendar and schedule appointments
Handle all proprietary and client information with integrity and confidentiality
